Hydrosil HS-CL
Hydrosil HS-Cl is used to remove chlorine or chlorine dioxide from air streams. These air streams are typically generated by bleach plants in pulp and paper facilities, chemical, fresh and waste water treatment plants. The chemisorption taking place in the removal of the pollutant gas with its' reaction with sodium thiosulfate. Hydrosil impregnates the zeolite substrate with no less than 2.40 pounds of sodium Thiosulfate. The theoretical capacity of the sodium thiosulfate in the HS-CL results in the 14.5% by weight. This material not listed as a hazardous waste and should be disposed of according to federal, state and local regulations.
HS-CL Specification
The sodium thiosulfate impregnated media shall have no less than 2.40 pounds of sodium thiosulfate per cubic foot, a bulk density of no less than 60 pounds per cubic foot, a moisture content average of 15% by weight and shall not dust. The media shall have an irregular particle size of 4 x 8 mesh. Maximum media temperature shall be 182 degrees fahrenheit.
Packaging for the media shall be installers option of:
- 0.67 cubic foot pails holding 40# net.
- 1.00 cubic foot boxes holding 60# net
- 6.67 cubic foot drum holding 400# net.
- 33.33 cubic foot supersack holding 2,000# net.
